Modern Embrace

A new form of a timeless gesture

It started with small things: a few lines of code on an old computer, a homemade sound system shaking the walls, a dance class where I learned how movement can change a room. I never knew what any of it meant, only that each piece felt like a doorway to something larger. Later came the nights of dancing in Havana, music spilling out of open windows, strangers becoming partners, rhythm becoming language. And from there, the journey carried me to the nightclubs of Miami, where the energy was louder, faster, and somehow just as intimate. Then came twenty years inside the world of Argentine tango, a discipline that teaches you how to listen with your whole body, how to connect without words, how to embrace the meaning of those small things where everything started.

Parallel to that journey, my daytime work as an engineer pushed me in a different direction, translating business needs into software solutions, architecting and building systems for companies and projects that needed clarity, structure, and a way forward. Technology taught me how to solve problems; dance taught me why those solutions matter. One gave me logic, the other gave me rhythm.

Modern Embrace is where all of that converges. It’s a bridge between the digital and the human, between the logic of digital systems and the emotion of movement. It exists to help more people step into dance, feel at home in it, and carry it into their lives, while I keep sharpening my teeth on whatever new technology decides to show up next.

My newest creation is a platform where dancers can find events, reserve their spot, and connect with others long before stepping onto the floor. If you’re curious, you can see it at tangosignal.com.

Hope to see you at the dance floor.
